Structural Scanning/Investigations

As-built drawings for concrete structures detailing concrete thickness, reinforcement cover, spacing, diameter, foundation locations and more. Radex can normally tailor a structural investigation to your requirement

Large concrete areas such as slabs, beams, columns and walls require a concrete structural survey opposed to regular scanning. Radex’s Xradar solution is able to scan large areas and produce accurate, detailed surveys, along with steel reinforcement drawings which will help you study the load capacity of a concrete slab. Each comprehensive Radex Structural Report details slab types, thickness, and presence of buried targets. Drawings are produced in AutoCAD by our in-house geo-science team and presented in plan view or any orientation with the option of ovelaying on an existing floor plan.

Benefits and outcomes of our Radex Structural Reports are:

  • Plans in any format can be quickly produced (DWG, PDF, etc...)
  • Concrete thickness, reinforcement cover, spacing, diameter, foundation locations & more to be displayed
  • Attributes can be used to calculate structural integrity & load capacity
  • Update historical or inaccurate structural drawings
  • Allows for remote decision making by engineering teams without physically needing to go to site.

The Reporting Process

Radex structural drawings provide comprehensive, invaluable information extracted from our survey to inform engineering decisions for planning and construction phases.

Onsite Xradar data is processed in-house using our bespoke proprietary software to deliver quantifiable, detailed measurements of slab attributes.

Flexible digital outputs in the form of raw data, maps and CAD-ready files make it easy to incorporate existing as-built slab conditions into structural design and analysis
